Certifications
We are certified by the American Concrete Institute and FACE.
Our certifications include:
Safety
We are committed to construction safety, and we make that commitment our top priority
An accident on the job site takes a heavy emotional and financial toll on everyone involved. We are very proud of our comprehensive safety program and our safety record.
The cornerstone of our safety program is the on-going training of supervisors, foremen, operators, drivers and other tradespeople to practice safety awareness. Our safety program ensures that all employees have the proper skills needed to work safely including OSHA 30 and OSHA 10 Hour Training Certificates.
Our full-time Safety Director strives to ensure that every employee is protected from injury each day they come into work. The Safety Director regulates all projects by OSHA standards. PCC has an excellent safety record.
We also conduct job site visits and inspections, which are integral parts of our safety program. These components combined help manage the risks associated with job site accidents.
ASSOCIATIONS / AWARDS
We are members of several associations and have received consistent recognition for our work.
Our participation provides us with opportunities to continue to learn and grow within the industry. We have been a member of the Tilt-Up Concrete Association since 1987.
We have received various awards and honorable mentions over the years including the Golden Trowel Award for the flattest and most level floor slab placed in the world in a year, and six Tilt-Up Achievement awards since 2005, including one Excellence in Achievement.
Giving Back
We are committed to giving back to our community. We participate in several charitable projects with non-profit organizations in our community.

SUBSTANCE ABUSE TESTING
Any prospective employee applying for a job is required to complete a drug screening. Applicants who test positive for illegal drugs are immediately disqualified. Any employee involved in an accident or injury on the job is subject to additional screening for illegal substances. If the employee tests positive for illegal substances, their employment will be terminated.
We work on government projects that require background checks and security clearances for employees. Testing positive for illegal substances will compromise the ability of employees to obtain clearances.
Lastly, we are compliant with Maryland’s Crane Safety Regulations. The Maryland Commissioner of Labor and Industry has deemed crane operators, signal persons, riggers, and crane operator trainees as safety sensitive positions. For this reason, any employee who works in a safety sensitive position can be selected at random to be screened for drugs and alcohol.
